CEO & Board Director
Prior to joining Datiphy, Ted co-founded Gigamon in 2004 (IPO 2013), served as the CEO from February 2008 until December 2012 and is currently serving on their Board of Directors. Prior to founding Gigamon, Ted served as vice president of engineering at Network Associates, Inc. (which later became McAfee, Inc.), from 2001 to 2003. From 1998 to 2001, Ted served as a director of engineering at McAfee. Ted holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the National Cheung-Kung University in Taiwan and a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Founder & CTO
Prior to founding Datiphy, James served as the CTO of Reti Corporation from 2005-2007. From 2002-2004, James served as the VP Systems Engineering at WatchGuard. In 1998, James co-founded RapidStream, which was acquired by WatchGuard in 2002. From 1996-1998 James served as the Engineering Manager at 3-Com and from 1989-1996 James held engineering and architect roles at Hewlett Packard. James has been granted 12 US patents. James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Master’s Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
Jason Yao PhD
VP Business Development
Prior to joining Datiphy, Jason held various advisory, consulting, R&D and management positions at Netvinci Corp, Fujitsu Laboratories of America, ASUS Computer International, and Foxlink International. From 2008-2011 Jason served as Associate Professor at Silicon Valley University. Jason has published over 35 IEEE journal and international conference papers, co-invented two patents, served in IEEE classes at National Taiwan University and speaks nine languages fluently. Jason holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
Prior to joining Datiphy, Pullan served as Software Team Lead at Sarnoff from 2006-2014. From 2002-2006, Pullan served as the Director of Appliance Software at WatchGuard. Pullan served as Software Engineer at RapidStream from 2000-2002, which was acquired by WatchGuard in 2002. Pullan held engineering roles at Lucent Technologies from 1996-1999 and Hewlett Packard from 1994-1996. Pullan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Chiao-Tung University in Taiwan and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University New York.
